Hi Paul, The plastic liner will not keep the water out. It does not fit the entire battery box and seal it. It is designed to catch battery acid leakage. I would strongly recommend this accessory. My TR6 experience an overcharging that caused about 3-4 oz of acid leakage that was caught by the liner. It will also be important to clean it up right away as the fumes will corroded any metal within range. Alex === This list supported in part by The Vintage Triumph Register === http://www.vtr.org |
