Paul, Your oil doesn't smell like gas, does it??? If so, your fuel pump diaphram is comprimised. How full does the oil read on the dip stick? If quite full, and your coolant is the same color green..... I'm with Randall and Bill, I don't think it could be from an open dip stick.
