Yes. Loosen the nut and then using a 2 1/2 lb sledge whack the top part of
the vertical link where the ball joint stud passes through and it will pop
loose. Don't use a carpenter's hammer. No matter how hard you swing it it
won't
impart the kinetic energy a 2 1/2 Lb sledge will with a moderate swing. The
rest is self evident.
