True! The dash is electronic but looks like a regular old style dash. The
odo is driven by a stepper motor and can run in either direction.
Shoddy Americian engineering? Well not quite, pull the electronic dash of
that car or any similar year GM and you will see a large ND. As in Nippon
Denso, a large parts supplier to Toyota and other Japanese car makers.
Don't feel too bad for the US big 3 they have owned stake in and have brought
in Japanese cars since the 70's
Ford Courier = Mazda
Chevy LUV = Isuzu
Dodge Mini Ram 50 = Mitsubishi
The mid 80's were great times for GM
Chevy Nova = Toyota Corolla
Chevy Spectrum = Isuzu I mark
Chevy Sprint= Suzuki
But wait, there is more!
The entire Geo line is made up of Suzuki and Toyota product
Americian Revolution says the Chevy commercial. Too bad the Chevy Aveo is a
Suzuki!
