i am not sure anyone would believe the absolute disaster i found under my 79
tr7 dashboard. suffice to say, there is no more dashboard. anyone need a
dashboard? i'm serious, make any offer. after buying and running correct
color and guage wire all over, i am going to make a custom dash, ala
tr6/gt6. black pad over aluminum top, solid wood faceplate. oh, and anyone
need any burnt wires? i have what was white, black, green/black,
black/purple, red. all various levels of toasted colors. now to the other
questions... i need a new speedo for the dash. recommendations? i've
purchased a set of white facia for all other, than the gas guage. i assume
i will have to keep the orig. next, i measured the height at the highest
point of the front wheel well. it is 22 1/2 inches to the garage floor.
ted s says it is to be 24. what's wrong??? finally, this is a quasi non
lbs question. i changed the oil & filter in the buick 231 v6. it has (soon
to be had) a k&n filter for the oil filler cap on the left valve cover. why
is oil seeping out of that now and dripping on the header (embarrasingly
smoking). can i just put a normal cap on it? or will that create some kind
of back pressure that is not good? i suppose the dipstick is incorrect for
this engine (heck everything else the p.o. did is way incorrect!!!). would
overfilling cause this?
thanks guys!!!
