Miller and Hobart are owned by the same company. The low end Millers are the
same as the high end Hobarts. Miller is a industrial type machine and Hobart
is more of a home user line.
Lincoln would be similar to Miller in terms of quality, but home ( Hobart )
use stuff is blended into the main name.
Clarke seems to be a Brit based company, their stuff turns up in Brit car
magazines. The stuff is low priced so who knows if it is good. Replacement
parts might be a issue.
Chicago and Campbell Hausfeld would have similar issues as well
Craftsman hard to tell who makes what, while parts are probably in stock,
they are bound to be $
Consumable parts are the real issue, tips, nozzles and such.
Are you in the PGH PA area? I'm going to have a 2 used Miller and a used
Solar brand MIG up for sale shortly.
