I own an '95 Isuzu Trooper and was speaking with a knowledgeable Trooper
person recently about a lifter noise that I am experiencing. He recommended
Shell Rotella to possibly remove the shellac on the lifter walls. His
rational was that diesel oils have higher detergents than standard motor oil
and that this might help me out.
I've not tried it, but I'd be interested in hearing how this could impact
our LBC motors.
