Just thought I'd send a note of kudos out to Jeff Palya at Paltech. For those
that don't know, Jeff does a superb restoration job of carbs and manifolds. The
micropolishing technique he uses results in a nice shiny appearance. But, more
importantly, the rebuild procedure is top-notch. He jetted my carbs for high
alititude and replaced some bits that he was not required to replace free of
charge (idle screw, connecting rod clips). I hooked up the carbs, topped up the
damper and let it fill with fuel. With a slight choke, it took 5 revolutions to
fire up the engine and settle in at a nice idle. The garage was in the mid 40s
temp. Would've taken ten or fifteen minutes of fiddling to get it started
before!
Jeff was a pleasure to communicate with and I highly recommend him to those
needing a good carb rebuilding. I've got no financial interest, just a
satisfied customer.
