Perfectly normal, Chris. Piston slap is definitely a more serious matter
caused by excessive clearance between piston and sleeve for a multitude of
reasons. Usually piston slap will continue from start up until the engine
is warm. If this rattling really bugs you I suggest detaching and isolating
the coil wire and spinning the engine with the starter for about 10 -15
seconds, reattach the coil wire and start normally. What you did was
repressurize the engine after the longish down time.
