After my correct engine block (with gearbox) mounting this past weekend, I
was a little surprised to see the TR3 non o/d gearbox actually joins up with
the engine about an inch before it passes into the passenger compartment. I
don't suppose the bolts that hold the engine & gearbox also bolt to the
firewall. Wouldn't that vibrate the old metal to death?
