GT6 oil filter cannister

Hi everyone,

I am in the process of rebuilding by GT6 engine.  It has an AC oil 
filter cannister that I am thinking of powder coating.

Is this a good option?  What color would be closest to the original? 

I know this has been discussed before, but I have not had any luck 
finding it in the archives.
