The tire manufacturers will provide outside diameter measurements for their
tires. You only need to know what that measurement was on the OEM tires and
find a match. You can use this same method if you wanted to use 16" diameter
rims (you score a nice set of Jag chromed wires on eBay, for example) with a
lower profile tire and not change the overall diameter. You can also choose a
tire with a larger diameter to reduce engine RPM for a given road speed as
well (it effectively lowers the differential gear ratio).
