Hi List:
Recently I sent a post on my heater valve fun. I took some time
tonight to add some pics to the triumph owners web site below to show
everyone what I wrote about. I also included a couple different views
of the new valve installed. As I mentioned before the new valve shuts
off completely from inside the car. I am not sure if it is the angle I
have it installed at or maybe just a decent valve. For those having
trouble shutting if off completely you can try to rotate the valve
slightly counter clockwise until it will close. You may not be able to
open the valve quite as far as before but it still should be able to
open enough to allow for plenty of heat.
For those of you still enjoying temps in the 80's and above you
probably think this post is nuts. But the high temp in Maine today was
about 65. It was sunny and pleasant but after my daughters soccer game
ended at 6pm it was on the chilly side with full heat required with the
top down. With clear skies and no garage the car is sitting with the
tonneau cover on tonight but with a low of 42 expected and top down
driving to work first thing in the morning the heat will be needed
again.
Cheers, or is that chills?
