If you look in the SCCA Solo rule book, you will see that
the stated intent behind their rules is that no open car
should be allowed to compete on racing slicks without a roll
bar. If you have decent suspension and street tires, you
should be fine.
In VTR rules I think, and in SCCA rules I know: You may not
use non-stock upper-body restraints (Turner Belt,
aftermarket harness) in an open car without a roll bar. Lap
belts should be fine in any Triumph.
