10 inch drums for TR3

I finally got some 10 inch drums which I want to cut/clean up.  I went  
through the manual tonight and could not find what is the maximum they can  
safely 
be ground down.  Does anyone know the stock dimensions, the inner  width,  of 
a 10 inch drum and how much it can be cut?
