How very true. The best we can provide is anecdotal evidence. All the folks
subscribing to this list own or have owned less than 1% of the cars produced
and only a small proportion of us have encountered any given problem and hence
the solution reached in these particular cases do not represent a
statistically significant number. Often times two people will have quite
contrary levels
of success using the same resolution.
But often enough an accurate diagnosis of the problem will be made and a
rational solution can then be decided upon.
So although the advice given may or may not be the right course to take, it
usually is a better choice than not turning to the list.
But that is just my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt.
