Well, after way too long a time and waaayy too many $, another TR
joins the fray! My '59 sits in repose out in the parking lot here at work,
whist I attempt to earn a few dollars to pay down the costs of its
rejuvenation.
Question 1, what is the thread size and pitch of the shifter knob?
One listing I found says 7/16 UNF, which translates to 7/16-20, but it is
way finer than that. I keep hitting my knuckles on the dash board!
Question 2, does anyone have a picture of the earlier, swivel type,
TR-3A ashtray? The change point is listed at 42000, mine is 44XXX, and I
have a swivel type ashtray in my box of parts. Perhaps the change over
point is somewhat vague?
Question 3, anyone ever try to renew to guts of a turn signal
flasher, voltage regulator or starter solenoid? I have the original,
correctly date coded versions of these parts and would like to return them
to working condition to go with my Anorak!
