One of the issues that has been overlooked in this discussion is the
amount of surface area that is being cooled by the fan.
Using the plastic ties and mounting the ties right against the radiator

John I used the plastic ties but if I'd have had the option for a hard
mount
I would have taken it. It makes a much nicer installation and cleaner
looking. Mine is OK but obviously "hung" on the radiator. It certainly
fits
with the rest of my car.
