Mine's closer to 40 inches long, lifts to 24" and was completely free.  But it
did cost me some O-rings to get it to stop leaking.  No idea what weight it's
rated for, but it will lift a Triumph bodily off the ground.  Wouldn't pick up
both front wheels of my motorhome though, so I'd guess it's maybe 1.5 tons.
