From rally cars to the event itself

Here on the East coast, the local MG Car Club(s) put on The MG 1000 Miler. An
annual four day event that went into Canada. The event drew approx. 50 cars /
year and was extremely well run. Contestants drove about 250 miles per day and
spent the nites at prearranged hotels/motels. The overall winners were those
with the lowest total score for the 4 days. There were many many awards and
the event culminated with an awards banquet. Yes, times have certainly
changed.
