Does anyone know of other vendors (no offense to Moss intended!) that carry
just the one bearing? (Yes, I did also suggest taking the old bearing to a
bearing supply company for possible matching or cross-referencing.)

And, as I didn't have time to go to a local bearing supply company, I
decided to poke around the Net a bit more. Turns out that none other than
Timken
has a pretty darned good web site that even offers a lookup of bearings by car
make. They even have some listings going back to the TR2-TR3.
Anyway, for anyone interested, I found out the following. First, the
markings on the original bearing in this instance were:
"Hoffman," "England," "L10 V2," and on the inner race, "L510 V2." (Thanks,
Bryan!)
And from the Timken site, I get: LS 10 for that ball bearing.
For the rest of the Herald/Spitfire rear axle bearing collection:
Seal inner 471224
Needle Bearing inner B168

*Man: Well, no ... It's not so much of a jet, it's more your, er,
Triumph Herald engine with wings.
