Possibly it would be OK, but several top engine builders (including Kas Kastner) say to run the engine under substantial load during break-in (after an initial period of fast idle). Unless you have an engine dyno, you can't do that on a stand. You could probably do the initial run-in on a stand, but don't forget you have to provide cooling and whatnot ... Randall |
