Man, I finally got my rebuilt side curtains back from TRF (took 7 months,
they look great) and put the top on the TR3A and took it out for a road test.
The noise levels inside the car are deafening. Far louder that with the top
down. Is it any quieter with the factory steel hardtop on, or is that deafening
too? The hardtop is next on my list for summer projects.
Also, the faster you go in the old TR, the more the side curtains get
sucked out by the airstream. It has got me suspect of the mounting screws
holding the side curtain brackets into the wood inside the door. Do these
brackets have a tendency to rip out? It seems like a guy could have a side
curtain get sucked off by the vacuum from an oncoming truck going by.
