Tim, I think you're confusing an anti-drainback valve with a bypass valve. They're different valves and they do different things. Since all of the Triumph engines (with the possible exception of the TR8 engine, which doesn't count) had internal bypass valves, having another one in the filter just doesn't matter ... Randall |
