thanks for all of your thoughts including the transmission coolers. i am 
however pursuing Mike's copper coil in the bucket solution because:
it looks cool
i can explain the science to any one who wanders into my garage
if i can explain it, i can lie and say it was my invention
all my friends and neighbors will think IM smart and envy me.
oh yes, and it will work.
