Randall, Thanks for your comments. I agree that the grooves worn into the discs are not the cause of poor brake performance. Having previously renewed the pads, flexible brake lines and checked the servo function - could the calipers be the culprits? As for the grooves, I'm hoping that new stub axles and bearings will stop them reappearing. While I'm at it I'm going to fit 'superflex' bushes plus renew the top balljoints and trunnions as well - be as well now that it's all in bits! Regards, Ian Viles |
