starter field coils

Has anyone redone the cloth tape on the field coils in an original late tr3a
starter?

I am rebuilding/cleaning the guts of the starter and noticed the cloth around
the coils is still insulating but is deteriorating so now is the time to redo
it, if I am going to rebuild all of the starter.

If the coils can be re-taped, easily, I would appreciate any advice on where
to get the cloth tape and any precautions on doing this job.
