I've mentioned before having an air dam along the bottom edge of the
radiator to scoop air against the lower third.
Well, when you get surprised by a flash flood in a blind road dip at 40
mph it scoops water just as easily as it scoops air.

Maybe it at least kept the front end in contact with the road.
Amazingly it didn't seem to have any affect on the engine but the whole
interior had to come out for a wash 'n dry.
