Terry,
The biggest difference between the early and later curtains is the
attachment. The early ones were a wedge design and had a knurl nut which
held it into place. The later ones were flat and fit into a door fitting.
The curain flange had a dzeus to hold it in place. I also had some jc
whitney curtains which had a metal piece below the window instead of the
frame and fabric covering. Before assuming that you have don't have an
original frame you will want to take the covering off to see what kind of
frame it has. Could be the PO just recovered the original frame with
inferior materials rather than rebuilding it to specs. I haven't checked RF
for a while, but they used to have all of the parts to restore the curtains
yourself. Pretty big job though.
Pete

Well, rats. It would appear from responses that I have the aftermarket JC
Whitney side curtains. Does anyone know what the going rate for a used set
of side curtain frames is?

I'll have to decide based on that whether to find some, or have a local
upholsetery shop do the convertible top and the JC W aftermarket side
curtains together so they'll match.

Thank you all,
