Hi Don, 

Funny you should mention that... I recently tried to find a source for a 
replacement seal for a drive shaft. I ended up just hand cutting two thick 
rubber 
ones, I figure the primary purpose is to wipe the grease back into the splines 
and they seem to do the job. The cork seal I took out was intact, until I 
tried to remove it, but didn't seem to fit very well. Maybe it was dried out 
and 
shrunken from age, kinda like me. ;-)

I wonder if you could glue two layers together with contact cement and make a 
propeller shaft grease 
seal for TR2 through TR6. These seals are no longer available.

These seals are cork, but rather thick. Someone on the list said they had the 
cutters to make them, 
but could not find cork material thick enough.
