Check out this quote from an Ebay auction number 4517828859:

"IT STARTED AS A 1976 TR7 THAT WAS VERY NICE WITH NO RUST AND A NICE GREY
ORIGINAL INTERIOR. THE MOTOR IS A NICE BIULT 3970100 350 WITH ANE ALL STEEL
BOTTOM END. BORED 30 OVER. MILD CAM, HOLLY INTAKE, NEW CARB, AND SUPER COMP
HEADERS. THE MOTOR HAS LESS THEN 100 MILES SINCE REBUILT. THE TRANS IS A 6
SPEED MANUAL FROM A NEWER CORVETTE AND WORKS LIKE NEW. THE REAREND IS A FORD
8.8 OUT OF A NEWER GT MUSTANG WITH A 343 GEAR. THE CAR ONLY WEIGHTS 1650
POUNDS SO YOU CAN JUST THINK HOW FAST IT IS."

How much does a stock TR7 weigh?

This thing only weighs 200 pounds more than my Europa? Difficult to
believe.
