Spring question

Hi All,
        I'm in the process of rebuilding the front suspension of my TR6.
When I did the rear suspension last year I noted that the rear springs had
been replaced by the DPO.  The replacement springs had a small area of dark
green paint.  Does this mean anything to anyone?  I'd like to determine if
the rear springs were uprated so I may match the front springs if need be.
