Thanks Steven,
        I did not respond to Ken, after two Alpine 500s, and 6 years 
in Massachuetts, plus 25 years in Missouri, I think I know my way 
around mountains and snow ... but that is just a guess <G>.
        I have no plans to spoil the concours car, which is one 
reason we are taking the southern route.  I did the Colorado thing in 
a 1972 Volvo Station Wagon myself, no snow tires, but good mud/snow, 
went through two blizzards, Eastbound and Westbound with no problems, 
only had to put on chains when we got back to California, where the 
chain police insist, even if you don't need them.
