Folks,
I have a kit which converts the rear crank seal from the scroll to a lip
seal. The instructions which accompanied the kit say to drill two more oil
drain holes in the main bearing cap. Fine, except that my cap has two
holes and I'm not sure which is supposed to be duplicated. One hole is
3/16" in diameter and seems to drain the seal area. The other is much
larger (13/32") and is adjacent to the bearing shell.
I *believe* that the larger hole is to be duplicated; I'd appreciate
concurrence that the larger hole is the target before I put drill to
bearing cap.
Tnx
Jim
