Since there seems to be some wider interest in this subject, I'll try to
recap the information (a little better organized this time) I recently
sent to Bob S. (initial list inquiry) :
The bar (w/ lights & badges) shown on the cover & p56 of B. Piggot's
Original Triumph TR, (1991) on the TR4 owned by Dereck Pollock, is
similar or perhaps identical to the original bar I found ( from Brian
Schlorff ) about 2000 and had rechromed. I believe this bar, which I
have on my '64 TR4, is an original Desmo accessory, as mentioned in
Piggot, Original Triumph TR4/4A/5/6, (1998), p111. There is also
another photo of Dereck Pollock's TR4, full front view, on p110. To see

Along w/ Brian Sanborn & several others, I also bought a badge bar from
Vern Burnett (Texas Triumph Register) around 2000 - same details as
provided by Brian. I never mounted Vern's bar and until this day it
hangs from the floor joists of my basement shop. I think lights could
be mounted to this bar (it has no lamp lugs as does the Desmo) by using
the lamp to badge bar adapter sold by:

I never did this since it was at about this point that I found the
original Desmo bar. Triple-C also sells original Desmo badge bar clips
that are very nice - I use several - part no. CLIP100
Another recent development is a stainless steel lamp bar being sold by
Revington TR. N. Revington published a press release about this bar in
TRAction, TR Register (UK), several months ago. I've not seen one of
these and only know what is shown on the web site (not much) - a photo
mounted on a TR4 would be helpful. This might be the best way to go today:

If there was enough interest, either the "Burnett" bar or the "Desmo"
bar (there are some differences) could be used as patterns and some more
made up. Some time ago I sent drawings of these bars to Michael Gajic
in Australia but I think he did not proceed and ended up selling his TR4.
