I have the Ken Gilanders 6 blade water pump, 156 Smith's skirted thermostat, 6
bladed Tropical fan, radiator duct work in place, a fan in front of the
radiator (manuel switch), 50/50 anti freeze with No-Roison rust inhibator, a
badge bar with 2 driving lights and 6 badges across (25% blockage) and on a
outside temp day of 90 degrees driving along @ 65 my temp gauge will not come
up to the 1st mark on the gauge, in very heavy stop and go traffic it might
approach 185, in a parade Ise the electric fan and it stays at the first mark
on the gauge, I can let it idle without using the elc fan for about 30 minutes
before it gets to 200, using the elec fan it will idle all day as far as I
know (never tried it), never had a heating problem since I switched over the
water pump and Tropical fan, thermostat is 13 years old. "FT"
