Dean,
Thanks for the advice! Especially, as I definitely plan on purchasing Dan's
Harness this winter for my "new" TR250!

Bob, Once you get started I think that you will find that this project will
no way take a lot of time. Once the prepwork is done. Be sure as you are
going along that you check and rehab all elec equipment. Since you will need
take out the heater box and fan anyway to route the under dash harness take
a close look at it.. In my 73 TR there was a lot of crap in the box and it
definitely needed painting. Make sure the heater core is in good shape,
recore if you have doubts. Also I re-lubed the armature shaft on the fan
motor. No more squeal on start up. That rehab took longer than installing
the harness itself. All in all though the whole project was completed in
less than a week. Of course I only did the cockpit and underhood harness,
the rear harness was in good shape. You will have plenty of time left over
for other details. Avoid cutting and especially avoid soldering of
automotive wires. It should not be necessary with Dans kit.Crimp
connections are much less prone to f!
ailure than soldered ones. Get the crimping tool that is available from
British Wiring, not cheap at 30.00 or 40.00+ but a real time saver. Also the
tool that is designed to push the bullet connectors into their connections
are invaluable. The only wire you should have to cut is the old stuff to get
it out easily. Finally get a tube of dielectric grease and use a dab on
every connection to prevent corrosion.
