I race a TR4 in vintage races. I have a flywheel on my car that only weighs
seven lbs, without the ring gear. When I bolt on the ring gear, it adds
another three to four lbs.
I've developed a lightweight ring gear which cuts ring gear weight by about
1-1/2 lbs. This is a weight reduction at the periphery, where it counts the
most. It will work on any TR2 -4A flywheel with a bolt-on ring gear. TR6
ring gears could be made at the same time if there is any interest.
I am going to have one and only one run of these ring gears made. The cost
will be $150 including shipping. I know that's pretty pricey but that's as
low as I can get it.
If anyone out there in Triumphland is interested and wants to be included,
please email me.
