I've been experiencing a poor running engine lately and have suspected a bad
plug wire. So I installed new plug wires and whilst doing so, plulled the
plugs. To my surprise, my #1 plug is very sooty, probably part of my
problem...but #2 is almost like new, a very lean burn look. #3 is nice and tan
while #4 is also sooty.
Question:
Why the difference between #1 and #2 and #3 and #4? I could understand if it
was 1 and 2 that were sooty and 3 and 4 were lean. But the carbs should
equally affect the plugs in the cylinders they feed, shouldn't they?
