Hey Don, I believe that the "R" stands for resistor. It'll be fine.

I went shopping for TR6 plugs today and picked up what I thought what
was correct. Champion copper plus RN9YC. Get home and the old ones and
other sources say N9YC.... no R. Does it matter? Have Champion changed
their number system? Does R indicate a heat range??
Please reply directly as I am on digest and I need to know "now".
