OK everyone!
After an hour or so's work I have both half shafts removed from the
replacement axle. Slid out as easy as could be. Since I'm going to re-build
this thing properly should I take the pumpkin, disassembled axles etc over to
a drive train shop and have them assemble all the new bits and pieces and
check all the clearances inside? If so - is there anything they really need
to know apart from specs?
At a minimum it would be nice to get it all cleaned up so I can paint it
nicely!
