Perry,
I did the conversion on my TR6 and used banjo fittings on the end that
connects to the caliper for just the reasons you state. Some folks don't
like banjo fittings, but I'm an old motorcycle racer and they always worked
fine on my bikes and are currently working just fine on my 6 (I do have
safety wire on the banjo bolt as insurance though - another holdover from
bike racing).
