I know that look. My solenoid stuck on the TR3 when it was in gear (I
was out of the car rocking it backwards to free a stuck starter). Car
started loping toward a cement block wall 4 feet away. I started to go
for the gear shift but just then the right front tire drove onto my
foot. Rather than wait for it to drive off I lunged for the battery and
pulled off the ground cable.
A pretty busy 2.5 seconds with plenty of time to stare at the engine
afterwards. Glad I never clamp down the ground connection.
