Leaving the rearmost bow loose from the webbing makes it much easier to put
the top up, especially when it's cold and stiff (like when it's already
raining). Procedure I use is to erect the bows, but leave the rearmost bow
folded forward against the next bow, and the 'dogleg' joint only about 1/2
extended. Put the top on and snap it down all the way around. Then from
inside the car (especially important if it's already raining <g>) finish
extending the doglegs and then push the rear bow backwards into position
just above the window. It will stay there by friction.
