TR4: Squeaky urethane bushings

Salutations:

A previous owner installed urethane bushings throughout the suspension on my
TR4. That's the good part. The less good is that the things make squeaking,
creaking and cracking noises -- to the point where it's embarrassing to drive
slowly through traffic. Oddly, the car is very quiet when driven off from
cold. The noise level develops over a period of a few miles and the noises are
quite pronounced from then on. Every minor bump or undulation that works the
suspension seems to cause a noise.

A review of the archives and other web sites seems to indicate that some sort
of grease (Teflon, lithium, synthetic...?) would solve the problem and I
expect that I'll have to disassemble things to apply it. Here are my questions:

       1. What sort of grease should I use?
       2. Is there some sort of "miracle in a can"
that I can use instead of taking things
apart? Some kind of spray lube, maybe....
3 Is there a squeak-proof type of bushing
            that I should switch to?

In case it helps, and because I've heard that there are differences, most of
the bushings are red-colored. Thanks in advance for any advice and
assistance.
