triple exhaust valve springs on a 66 TR4?

I am in the process of rebuilding 2 engines: a 60 TR3A and a 66 TR4 or 4A.
I've only taken off the head's on both engines and noticed they are slightly
different.  I've also noticed that both my engines had triple exhaust valve
springs- this fact, alone, may indicate that the 66 has been taken apart
before, right?  Since I only want to reuse the 66 engine, is it likely this
triple exhaust spring setup is ok?
