I purchased a 63 TR3B in 1963 and it had less than 10,000 miles on it. I 
did a lot of work on the car and I do not recall a heat shield . I do not 
know if it was an option in the later TR3's or the early TR4's.  Anyone 
else with a good memory?;-)

  I wish I had the car now....wires, od, spa white, black with white 
upholstery strips, black top.  28mpg at 70 mph!
