I believe the technique involves staring down the viewer of a Colourtune
while doing this :-o

Of course, those in the UK can pop down to their local "rolling road" (I
hear there's one on
every corner ;-). Are there any in North America at all? I mean, what do
the racers do to set
up their engines?

There are a lot of DriveClean pollution test centres here in Ontario, but I
think they only test at
modest loads and 40 kph, and they might just stick a probe up my, err, you
know, when I'm
actually exempt being over 20 years.

brakes of the car. One author (not me) says you can rev up the engine on a
lift in gear and use the brakes to create resistance for about 30 seconds,
then you need to let the drums cool off.
