Hi,

On my street TR6, is used a product called a Well-nut. This is a rubber
plug with a brass nut. You open the hole up a tad, stuff in a well-nut and
use a normal threaded machine screw (Ilike stainless).

This works "the balls".

You have to replace the wellnuts every few years (the rubber goes bad).

Cheap and simple solution.

I buy well-nuts from the local hardware store. I _think_ the source is
Midwest Fasteners.
