No offense, please, and please forgive the obvious, but wouldn't it be far
easier to do something with the pedals? For one thing, I can't imagine putting
a sidescreen TR steering wheel a whole lot closer to the dashboard than it
already is; you'd likely bash your knuckles every time you steered.
I have a Standard Pennant (the "fancy" version of the Standard or Triumph 10)
for future restoration. It appears that the original owner in England was also
quite short in the legs. He (or she?) apparently had someone cut off clutch,
brake and gas pedals from another 10 or Pennant and welded or brazed them on
top of the existing pedals, giving a good 1" + extension of the pedals. Pretty
easy to do. I can try to get a halfway decent picture of those pedals to you if
you want.
